Calling All Artists, Designers, and People Who Like to Doodle

Pedals2People is looking for submissions from local artists to adorn spoke cards for this year's SpokeFest. SpokeFest debuted as Spokane's own bike festival in 2008. Last year, over 1700 people registered. This September 12th, SpokeFest is anticipating many more participants, and they want to give all those who register a fun momento.

The spoke cards will include your work and your name. They will be distributed to several thousand enthusiastic cyclists, and your card might just become a highly sought-after trading card ; ) Here's what we're looking for in this year's design:

Must have SpokeFest 2010 in the design
When sending a digital image, best if the quality is at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) and no smaller than 4 inches by 4 inches.
Original artwork can be scanned, but should be 8.5x11" or smaller
Can be full-color or BW
Look at the SpokeFest and Pedals2People sites to get an idea about what your work is representing
Email your work or questions to pedals2people@gmail.com
Must be submitted by July 15

More than one design may be chosen to represent SpokeFest, Pedals2People and bike merriment.

Pedals2People at Spoke Fair

P2P will have a booth at Spoke Fair this Sunday the 13th. We'll have information on volunteering, our community bike shop, and our other programs. We'll also be selling some limited edition t-shirts, quality used parts, and patches. Want a SpokeFest spoke card? Stop by our booth and get yours!

Hope you enjoy the ride and bike festivities at the 2nd Annual SpokeFest.

SpokeFest Spoke Card Designs Chosen

Erica Roscoe, Joe Tomlinson, and Jeff Everett's designs have been chosen for the 2009 Spokefest spoke cards.

Their designs are smart and unique. They depict SpokeFest's and P2P's vision of cycling as a fun activity that offers something for everyone. If you want to sport your own '09 Spokefest spoke card, register online. Sorry you have to wait until September 13th to get yours, but we think it'll be worth the wait!
